The Transylvania Economic Alliance and the Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority cohosted a Stakeholders Luncheon event Friday, March 4 at the Brevard Music Center’s Burt Alumni House. Stakeholders from Transylvania County, City of Brevard, Town of Rosman, PSNC Energy, Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Heart of Brevard, and the education institutions learned about recent updates from both organizations.
The Transylvania County TDA unveiled their Multi Year Marketing Plan that was commissioned in 2015 by the TCTDA and co-developed with long time marketing partner, Market Connections. The Alliance provided an update on the organization’s property identification and evaluation study. Following the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to respond with questions for the Alliance and TDA.
Executive Director Josh Hallingse said they organized the event to give community members the opportunity to come together and discuss issues that affect economic growth in Transylvania County. “Both the Alliance and the TDA share the same goal of improving the economic well being of the community. This collaborative event allowed us to engage stakeholders in our mission in order to accomplish meaningful economic development.”
