The Transylvania Economic Alliance kicked off the New Year with area manufacturers with an after hours industrial appreciation event on January 17th, 2019. Hosted by Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard the group of +20 industrial stakeholders and business support providers enjoyed networking, a behind the scenes brewery tour focused on the manufacturing science of beer manufacturing and dinner in the “hops storage facility” in the newly expanded production room. Dr. Laura Leatherwood, President of Blue Ridge Community College, shared her vision for colloration and partnership with area manufacturers along with an update on the community college's customized workforce development initiatives. Josh Hallingse, Transylvania Economic Alliance Executive Director, closed out the evening with an update on economic development initiatives.
