On October 13, 2017 the Transylvania Economic Alliance hosted the Fall: Manufacturers Round Table at the Brevard Conference Center. The Forum was the second in a series of regularly scheduled events designed to highlight projects, news and information about the greater community that has the potential to impact the overall business climate for area industries. Over 30 industrial leaders, suppliers and stakeholders gathered to discuss pertinent issues which included road projects and utility infrastructure improvements that are either being conceptualized, planned or underway. Speakers from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and City of Brevard specifically addressed items such as the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) list of projects under consideration and ways in which employers can be involved in the process and provide needed input. The City of Brevard also provided an overview of recent capital improvement projects which the Brevard’s utility department and elected leadership have made a priority.
