Appalachian Regional Commission Awards Grant to Support Local Businesses

The Transylvania Economic Alliance is pleased to announce the community has received a matching $15,000 grant to host a county-wide business expansion competition. When launched the competition will allow existing Transylvania County businesses to compete for funding designed to encourage business growth prospects. Using a matching $15,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission, interested participants will compete for grant awards of $15,000 and $10,000. Grant funding will allow applicants to expand their business and cover eligible business expenses. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for additional details and an official launch.
