Allegiant Air plans to add twice-weekly flights from the Asheville Regional Airport to Denver starting later this year. The Las Vegas-based airline company will begin service from Asheville to the Denver International Airport beginning May 16, 2018. It is the seventh destination Allegiant will offer out of Asheville. According to Asheville Regional Airport Director Lew Bleiweis, ” this flight has been on the community's wish list for many years. I am thrilled that Allegiant has once again shown their commitment to the western North Carolina region by choosing to connect Asheville and Denver, both vibrant and popular destinations.” While a boon to the flow of tourism between these two destinations the flight also highlights the continued growth of the business communty. In 2012, Colorado based Oskar Blues Brewery and New Beligium Brewery each located east coast facilities in the Asheville region. The addition of this flight further emphasis this unique connection and now makes access to our growing markets easier.
